Event Details

The NW Iowa Dyslexia Support Group meeting includes a presentation on a topic related to dyslexia and time to connect with other parents or educators interested in learning more about dyslexia and how to support dyslexic children and struggling readers. The facilitators for the discussion are Emily Kramer and Renee Saarloos. Please sign up individually for the programs that you wish to attend. Registration is requested but not required.

How to Have a Dyslexia Friendly Classroom Join us to learn how to make your classroom a place that is set up for dyslexic children to succeed.  Spoiler alert–these suggestions will be beneficial for all the students in your class! In addition, Jacinda Zoet, a Title 1 teacher who also has her Dyslexia Certification from the Dyslexia Training Institute, will be sharing what she has learned about creating dyslexia friendly classrooms.  Teachers of all grades are encouraged to attend this meeting.  Parents and caregivers of dyslexic students are also welcome to attend and gain strategies to share with their students’ teachers.
