Program Description

Event Details

The NW Iowa Dyslexia Support Group meeting is for educators, parents, caregivers, or any community member interested in learning more about dyslexia or how to support dyslexic children and struggling readers.  Each meeting includes a presentation on a topic related to dyslexia, as well as time to connect with other parents or educators.  The NW Iowa Dyslexia Support group is facilitated by Amanda Hulstein, Emily Kramer, Renee Saarloos, and Jacinda Zoet.

Never Too Late! Help for Dyslexia in the Secondary Grades Summary: Join us to learn more about how to assist students with dyslexia or poor reading skills in the secondary grades. We will also discuss common accommodations for students in grades 4-12 who are now “reading to learn” throughout their school day. Educators, parents, caregivers, and anyone interested in learning more about dyslexia is welcome to attend.
