Program Description

Event Details

The NW Iowa Dyslexia Support Group meeting is for educators, parents, caregivers, or any community member interested in learning more about dyslexia or how to support dyslexic children and struggling readers.  Each meeting includes a presentation on a topic related to dyslexia, as well as time to connect with other parents or educators.  The NW Iowa Dyslexia Support group is facilitated by Amanda Hulstein, Emily Kramer, Renee Saarloos, and Jacinda Zoet.

Q and A with Parents and Advocates of Dyslexic Children Summary:  Join us with all your burning questions about dyslexia! Parents and teachers are encouraged to meet with us, the board of the NW Iowa Dyslexia Support Group, and ask the questions they have been wondering about dyslexia.  Our board is composed of parents from both private and public schools and current and former private and public school educators. In addition, our board members possess Dyslexia Certificates from the Dyslexia Training Institute and graduate degrees in Reading Science, certifications from the Center For Effective Reading Instruction, as well as experience in a variety of dyslexia reading remediation methods and programs. Registration is requested but not required.
