Program Description

Story Time

Thematic program using books, songs, and rhymes to assist the parent/caregiver in reading to their child. Activities support the development of language skills, listening skills, and word awareness for the purpose of encouraging a lifelong interest in reading. Activities and crafts are designed for children ages 3-6, but siblings of all ages are welcome to attend.

Event Details

Summertime story times will focus on the summer reading program theme of Reading Colors Your World. Activities will include collaborative art in Children's Park, as well as some special presenters on topics such as Eating the Rainbow. 

June 15 - Collaborative Art @Children's Park (rain location: library)

June 22 - Collaborative Art @Children's Park (rain location: Children's Park art room/shelter house)

June 29 - Story Time with Lisa Laird @Library

July 13 - Collaborative Art @Children's Park (rain location: art room/shelter house)

July 20 - Eating the Rainbow with special guest Stephanie Van Ruler from Promise @Library

July 27 - Collaborative Art @Children's Park (rain location: art room/shelter house)

Aug 3 - Storytime on Site @Holland Flower Farm (rain location: library)

This program is designed for children and accompanying adults. Please plan to attend and be engaged with your child for this program. Drop-offs will not be permitted.
