Program Description

Event Details

Join us to learn how to support students with language-based learning disabilities, like dyslexia, in every class, every day from our guest speaker, Nina-Lorimor Easley, owner of Bridges Educational Consulting. It is common to first think about accommodations for just language arts or English classes, but effective accommodations extend beyond these classes. Dyslexic students and students with other learning disabilities bring their challenges with them to every class, including music, art, and PE. Appropriate use of accommodations throughout the school day helps ensure these students have access to learning and helps with both academic and social success. Educators, parents, caregivers, and anyone interested in learning more about dyslexia is welcome to attend.
