Program Description

Storytime Jr.

Thematic program using songs and rhymes to assist the parent/caregiver in reading to their child. Each participant will receive a book which we will read together in class and take home at the end of the series. Activities support the development of language and listening skills for the purpose of encouraging a lifelong interest in reading. Activities and crafts are designed for children ages 0-3, but siblings are welcome to attend.

Event Details

This year's StoryTime Jr. theme is Down on the Farm. We are excited to bring you six carefully crafted sessions on this theme, alternating between:

Story in Season - seasonal songs, rhymes, and inspirational activities with Twila on the 2nd Tuesday of the month

Story in Song - musical play and instrument exploration with Janelle on the 4th Tuesday of the month.

The book we will be reading/singing together is Old MacDonald, published by Child's Play, and includes the printed music on the back, as well as ASL signs in the illustrations. All registrants will receive a personal copy of this book to take home after the last class of the series.

***Don't forget to register for Story on Site - the 1st Tuesday of the month. We have three exciting field trips lined up for you this Fall!
