2nd-3th Grade Book Club

Hey 2nd-3rd graders, join us for a book discussion and related games or crafts!

Join us this Fall for a special Cookie Club Book Club!

Come and read the 3 books in The Secret Cookie Club series. At each meeting, we will get a sneak peek reading of one of the books and assemble cookie ingredients for two of the recipes included in the book. Cookie treats can be baked at home or given as gifts. This book club is targeted toward girls ages 7-10.

Sept. 13 - The Secret Cookie Club - introduction to the series and discussion about ways to encourage other girls through baking projects. Assemble a tub of Grandpa's Chocolate Chip Cookie dough for freezing. Assemble a jar of dry ingredients for Grandpa's Big Chocolate Cookies.

Oct. 11 - The Secret Cookie Club: Campfire Cookies - Play camping themed games. Assemble S'Mores Bar Cookies in a ready-to-bake pan. Assemble a jar of dry ingredients for Chewy Oatmeal Cookies.

Nov. 8 - The Secret Cookie Club: P.S. Send More Cookies - Prepare a package for sending cookies to a far away friend or family member. Decorate Quick Shortbread Cookies for mailing. Assemble a tub of Hannah's Lemon Cookie dough for freezing.

Dec. 13 - Holiday Cookie Fun! - Decorate a small plate of Grandpa's Iced Holiday Cookies to take home and share. Prepare a tub of Thumbprint Cookie dough for freezing. Prepare a jar and recipe card of dry ingredients for Grandpa's Chocolate Crinkle Cookies to give as a gift.

 

*Please note that we are working with food substances and potential allergens during these book club meetings. Please advise me of any food allergies/restrictions prior to the meetings.
