LEAD: Leadership Exploration & Development. Connecting our community through lifelong learning.

We are excited to partner with the Sioux Center Chamber to offer LEAD: Leadership Exploration & Development. These educational opportunities with be a great benefit for our business community to grow and expand their leadership skills. Join us for this first session on Crucial Conversations.

Crucial Conversations teaches skills and gives participants an opportunity to ask questions in a safe environment. Crucial Conversations will teach participants how to: speak persuasively, not abrasively; foster teamwork and better decision making; build acceptance rather than resistance; and resolve individual and group disagreements.

Denise Truckenmiller speaks from experience. She has built a solid reputation for moving individuals and organizations from a mindset of reasons, stories, and excuses to “why nots” and “what ifs”. Denise has performed a variety of leadership positions, including chamber of commerce executive director, YMCA camp executive director, director of Human Capital in two rural hospitals, and trainer/consultant for a healthcare system. Denise is a strategic thinker and innovative problem solver. She is not afraid to make difficult decisions or have difficult conversations. She has a high energy level, is motivated, and is creative. Her glass is always half full. She enjoys finding and igniting the spark within every person. Her solid reputation helps make things happen while maintaining credibility and getting buy-in from others. Denise holds a B.S in Business Organization and an MBA with an emphasis in human resources.
