Drawing is a fun skill which improves with practice. It can stand alone as an art form, but it is also a necessary skill in developing a painting. Drawing teaches an artist how to see his subject objectively and how to render it more accurately. This class teaches how to simplify and draw any subject of your choosing. We will learn how to see visual relationships, how to define objects using lines, edges and shapes, and how to use simple perspective techniques. A variety of subjects will be explored using charcoal, graphite and pen. We will also learn how these techniques and materials can be used within a painting.
Join professional artist Judy Thompson for this fun and informative class. All supplies/materials are included with the class fee of $120. Register at https://www.orangecitylibrary.org/event/drawing-fundamentals-for-adults/2023-01-09/
