Event Details
Exploring the Risks of Substance Use, Gambling, and Gaming: an Adult Library Series
Each session will include general information regarding the topic, associated low and high risks with use, and consequences of high-risk choices. These presentations are possible through Rosecrance Jackson Centers via the Integrated Providers Network Grant and the State Opioid Response Grant.
These sessions are for any adult who is interested in learning more about the science, data, and resources regarding each topic. Sessions are for anyone: faith leaders, law enforcement, probation officers, school administration, teachers, treatment providers, counselors, social workers, parents, guardians, and anyone who works with youth.

Session 4 Gambling and game transition from just fun and games to brain changes and addiction. October 4, Sioux Center
Session 5 Alcohol Use, Misuse, and Dependency. October 11, Orange City
Session 6: This session will help you understand what an overdose is, how to spot signs, etc. October 18, Orange City.
These sessions are all independent from each other so feel free to sign up for the ones you wish to attend. Register at the library where the program is being held.
