Summer Splash

The long break from school means that reading ability and comprehension can slip. SPLASH helps students fill the “summer gap” of reading. The program focuses on the summer reading program theme and includes literacy activities, recommending books, literature discussions, games, crafts, and more.

Feed Your Mind, READ! Through books, games, making food, and more children will learn about feeding their minds through reading!

Learn a century-old method of outdoor cooking including basic supplies, care of the ovens, temperature control, and best recipes. Meet at Sandy Hollow Recreation Area east of Sioux Center at the open shelter near the west pond.
