Program Description

Event Details

Join Dr. Jeff Gladstone, Associate Professor of Engineering to learn about all things related to rocket engineering. From creating solid rocket motors with the Aerojet company, to establishing an engineering program at Northrise University in Ndola, Zambia, Dr. Gladstone has a vast expertise in engineering. In current events, the rocket motors that he helped design 25 years ago took their final flight last summer, lifting NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams to the International Space Station. In this presentation he will share his thoughts about the 9-month “stranding” of these astronauts, insights on SpaceX rockets and missions to Mars, and more about his experiences in 40 years of engineering.
