The Greater Sioux County Genealogical Society (GSCGS) is hosting a special program at the library on June 20th. It is about the Early Sioux County Land Seekers who came to Orange City to establish a new colony.  You'll learn about the five initial 'Land Seekers' trek from the Netherlands to Pella and then to Sioux County IA. These five Land Seekers are Henry Hospers, Jelle Pelmulder, Hendrik Jan Vande Waa, Sjoerd A. Sipma, and Huibert Muilenburg.

Please note that the GSCGS hopes to host a similar program about each of the towns in Sioux County and how they began.
