Join us on safari at the Sioux Center Public Library to celebrate the launch of a new children’s book, The Black Mambas: The World’s First All-Woman Anti-Poaching Unit, by local author Kelly Crull! Mark your calendars for Tuesday, April 8th, 2025, and get ready for an evening of fun, adventure, and learning.

Here’s what you can look forward to…

  • a read aloud of the book by author Kelly Crull
  • a relay race to save endangered stuffed animals
  • a scavenger hunt around the library where you will search for hidden animal tracks, snares, and footprints left by poachers
  • a rhino mural to color together
  • free giveaways: come and see what special goodies await!
  • a book signing: meet the author in person and get your very own signed copy of the book!

This event is perfect for kids ages 6 to 10 and all families looking for an exciting, hands-on experience that teaches the importance of wildlife conservation while having a blast. Don’t miss out on this special opportunity to celebrate local talent and the incredible story of the Black Mambas!
