Program Description

Event Details

It was 2003. Jake Van Wyk had passed by an old barn on the edge of Orange City off Highway 10 for years. Jake’s wife expressed an interest in having an authentic barn on their own property, and the 6-year process of moving and erecting it began. After a public barn raising in 2007, the 1890 36′ by 48′ two-story cedar post and beam barn became a reality. Come hear about Jake’s experience and learn from his expertise.

Registration is encouraged for this event. Registration will open May 1st at 8:00 a.m. Register through the Orange City Public Library website. https://www.orangecitylibrary.org/event/2022-07-07/ Event takes place at the Orange City Public Library.
