Follow along the Iowa State Extension Winter Webinar Series together with local master gardeners and peers. This week: there is more to seed germination than many people realize. In this session we will discuss the importance of environmental control, stratification techniques, and other tips to improve germination of temperate or tricky species. A beginning seed starter can definitely get something out of the webinar. Possibly the "Advanced" aspect is the explanation of different seed types, germination rate, etc. Someone who has never gardened before would not be lost but would receive way more info to tuck away for the future.
